Linen

Lightweight, breathable and widely known as the world’s strongest fibre, linen is our favourite fabric. Made from the stalk of the flax plant, linen is a sustainable, biodegradable fibre that can be produced with minimal water, pesticides and fertiliser. It’s also fast-drying, naturally insulating and improves with age.

To maintain your garment’s quality, we recommend washing in cold or cool water (30 degrees maximum) with a dash of mild, natural detergent. Avoid fabric softeners. Don’t wash with heavier garments, such as jeans or jackets, as this can damage your linen.

To dry, lay the garment flat on a towel (avoid hangers) and leave in a shaded area. Once dry, store your garment in a cool, dry place, either hung or folded. Linen is prone to creasing with wear. You can iron it, but you should spritz garments with water before pressing; dampening linen relaxes its fibres, making it easier to remove creases.

Do not tumble dry. Exposing garments to lengthy periods of heat at high temperatures damages fibres and shrinks garments. Always refer to your garment’s label for precise care instructions.
